Pano fetch — Chrome extension. Last updated 30 July 2026.

What this extension collects

Nothing.

Pano fetch does not collect, store, transmit, sell or share any personal

information. It has no server of its own, no account system, no analytics and

no telemetry.

What it does with the pages you visit

When a tab is active, the extension reads that tab's URL to work out whether it

is showing a Google Street View panorama or photo sphere, and to extract the

panorama's identifier. This happens entirely on your own computer. The URL is

never sent anywhere, and it is not written to disk.

The extension stores nothing at all. The panorama identifier is worked out

from the tab's URL each time it is needed, rather than being kept anywhere.

The extension does not read or modify the contents of any page, and it does not

inject scripts into pages.

Network requests

When you click a resolution in the extension's popup, it requests the metadata

and image tiles for that panorama directly from Google's servers

(google.com, ggpht.com, googleusercontent.com). Those requests are made

by your browser, to Google, and are subject to

Google's privacy policy.

No requests are made to anyone else, and none are made until you ask for a

download.

The images you download

The assembled panorama is saved to your computer through Chrome's downloads

feature. It is not uploaded anywhere.
